Friday, July 29th, 2005 - Pop ARF - Nathan Janes
Our love for art led us to searching for intriguing artists who celebrate and capture the spirit of the canine species. After only a few minutes of perusing on-line web sites, we found Pop ARF, and what a find it is! This web site features a vivid, modern, and fun collection of pieces all dedicated to dogs.

The artist is Nathan Janes, a resident of Port Clinton, Ohio. Janes began creating pieces based on wildlife, but his love for dogs led him to his recent focus on the Pop ARF collection. His use of strong color and articulated figures reminds us of style we viewed in the Frederick J. Brown exhibit at the the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in 2002. Both artists capture moments that display lifelike emotions through the use of rich colors.

Janes's recognition has been growing quite quickly as it has been less than a year's time since his collection was displayed in the Columbus Museum of Art in the Autumn of 2004. Take some time to look through his online galleries of originals and prints. Plus, you can contact Janes for an original piece starring your own dog. He will bring your dog's energy and personality to the forefront in your very own painting giving you a treasure and memories for years to come.
